Formerly known as a Turnaround Project Manager, Joe Jackson has moved into the newly created role of Project Process Assurance for the LyondellBasell Houston Refinery, with the responsibility for insuring Project Process adherence and development for both Capital Projects and Turnaround Projects.
Joe Jackson worked as North American Shutdown Manager for Dyno Nobel. As their corporate shutdown manager Joe was challenged with establishing an organization that facilitated the planning and execution of turnarounds for the six North American manufacturing sites.
Joe Jackson held varying roles during his 30 years at the ConocoPhillips’ Lake Charles Refinery including his final role serving as Director of Site Construction & Turnarounds. In 1980, Joe started as an Operator and quickly moved through the operations ranks to Shift Supervisor. He joined PSM in the early days of interpreting, defining and applying the new Process Safety regulations. Joe then served as Senior Production Superintendent, returning to Operations during a company re-organization. Two other Operations Supervisors roles followed, as Joe oversaw the Lake Charles FCC Unit and Combination/Sulphur Plant units. He was deceptively introduced to the Turnaround Organization when presented with the challenge of integrating the operations side of planning and scheduling.
